…with Pitou, in Marbella (1978)

WELCOME

If you are new to the site,  you can start at the beginning by, either, clicking on the Chapters Page in the menu bar, or scrolling down to the bottom of this page and clicking on the dust jacket of the book, Pitou, My Love.  It will take you to the beginning of the story.  At the bottom of each post, just click again on the dust jacket to be taken to the next post.  Once you have caught up,  follow along as I add posts about a magical period that sparked one woman’s  forty-year love affair with her husband.

But, before doing anything else, familiarize yourself with the Music Player by Clicking Here. If you listen to the songs I have chosen, Paris in the Sizzling Seventies will come alive for you, I promise.

Should you choose to go directly to the Blog Posts, keep in mind that they are in reverse chronological order.  The written material is divided into categories as follows:

  • Foreword to the Memoir
  • Paris, the Cinderella Years (1971-1979)
  • The Family Years, Malibu (1980-1988) [not yet posted]
  • The Years of Retreat, Mammoth Lakes (1989-2011) [not yet posted]
  • Without You, Yet Knowing You’re Still Here ( November 12th, 2011 to the present) [not yet posted]

As you read, try clicking directly on to the photos.  There are wonderful surprises behind many of them that will allow you to experience the wonder of Paris as  I first did, back in 1971.

And if you wish to become a Follower of Pitou, My Love.com, click the Menu Button found at the top right corner of each page.

Pitou was an extraordinary man, who led a life filled with love, beauty, excitement and interesting people.  My hope is that, through these pages, you will  remember him fondly or come to know him well.  In either event, I am certain that he has the same message for all of you:

“Live, Love and, above all, LAUGH”

  1. We have never met, but my father was Joe Bushkin, the jazz pianist, and Suzy was a friend of my parents as I believe Pitou was. I knew Georgia but not as well as my sisters did as they were perhaps closer to her age.
I worked for Jansen, the French decorating firm and lived in Paris on and off for fifteen years as well as London.
I don’t even know how I came across your blog but I think I must have been looking at photos of Suzy because I just finished Dorian’s memoir. Dorian was a great friend of of my closest friend in Paris and I think I was hoping to read something about him in her book. I haven’t really thought about Suzy for years but at one time she was a close friend of my mothers.
In any event I just wanted to tell you how much I have enjoyed your blog and reading about the “old days”. I also feel the same way you do about what I see happening around me and it amazes me that more people don’t see it too. The manipulation of the masses by the elite and the effort to construct a new world order has been going on under everyone’s nose for the past 60 years and most people don’t understand it at all.
